Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Education Foundation (LCEF) invites the community to tee off for a cause at the 30th Annual Strokes for Students golf event, held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Hills of Lenawee Golf Club. This special milestone year celebrates three decades of commitment to Lenawee County youth, and the Foundation is calling on local leaders, businesses, and supporters to join the effort.

Since its inception, the Strokes for Students event has raised more than $760,000 to support educational initiatives throughout Lenawee County, including student scholarships, job training grants, and innovative teacher enrichment programs.

This year’s tournament follows the unique student-AM format, pairing a high school golfer with each four-person team in a scramble round. The format is designed to foster meaningful connections between students and community leaders, all while supporting Lenawee County’s greatest resource—its children and youth.

Funds raised from the event will directly benefit the following initiatives:

·       Sixteen $1,000 scholarships: one for each of the twelve Lenawee County high schools, one for the LISD TECH Center, a special “Mulligan” scholarship, and two community service scholarships

·       $7,500 for the Job Readiness Training Program

·       $7,500 for the Teacher Enrichment and Innovative Grant Program

·       $5,000 for the Frank and Shirley Dick Memorial Scholarship

For those who are unable to participate in the tournament, the LCEF welcomes event sponsors and donations to continue supporting local education. Every contribution helps fund critical programs that prepare students for success.
