STEM Fair Media Release featuring three photos of students with their awards

Adrian, MI, March 19, 2025 ––The Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) successfully hosted its annual Tri-County STEM Fair on March 18 at Adrian College. This year’s fair saw a significant increase in participation, with 74 projects entered across two divisions—grades 5-8 and 9-12—compared to 64 last year.

A key highlight of this year’s event was the return of Blissfield Community Schools and Clinton Community Schools, participating for the first time in several years. Their involvement expanded the fair’s reach, providing even more students with the opportunity to engage with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Throughout the event, students proudly displayed their projects to the public before gathering in Dawson Auditorium for the awards ceremony, where judges, teachers, and families celebrated their achievements. $3575 in prizes were awarded across 19 categories, including special awards from local businesses.

“We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, and dedicated teachers for their support in making this year’s STEM Fair a success,” said Jackie Murray, LISD Science Curriculum Consultant. “A huge congratulations to our amazing students for their creativity, innovation, and passion for discovery! We look forward to continue growing and to see what projects are submitted for our 2026 Tri-County STEM Fair."

The full list of award winners is available on the Lenawee Intermediate School District’s website.
