January is School Board Recognition Month
School Board Recognition Month is celebrated by nearly 600 local and intermediate school districts in Michigan in January, honoring more than 4,000 elected school board members for their untiring dedication to school governance.
As superintendents of the 12 public school districts within Lenawee County, we proudly come together this January to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our school board members during School Board Recognition Month.
Our school board members are volunteers who give generously of their time and expertise to guide our schools and ensure that every student receives a high-quality education. They make critical decisions that impact the lives of our students, teachers, and communities. From overseeing budgets to setting educational goals, their leadership helps create a strong foundation for our schools to thrive.
This month, we encourage the entire Lenawee County community to take a moment to thank their school board members for their selfless service. Whether through a note of thanks, attending a school board meeting, or simply expressing gratitude, we can all play a part in recognizing their invaluable contributions.
On behalf of the 12 public school districts, we thank our school boards for their unwavering commitment to our students and their dedication to the future of Lenawee County.
Sincerely,
