The LISD Educational Technology program exists to help educators in Lenawee County effectively integrate technology resources and best practices into the classroom curriculum through the development of a digital-age learning culture. Our Ed Tech consultant can assist your school or classroom in:

Consulting and Resources - Provide an opportunity for a brainstorming session to bounce ideas off of one another. Hunt for resources and activities to match the needs of your school or classroom.

Team Teaching Experience - After planning cooperatively, teach a lesson together involving an innovative idea, technology, STEAM, or makerspace.

Co-planning - Collaboratively plan a lesson or series of lessons that use technology, innovative ideas, STEAM or maker spaces, and meets best practice.

Demonstration Lesson - Demonstrate a makerspace or STEAM activity, or a piece of technology in your classroom while you observe.

Classroom Engagement and Customization Support - Help design and implement engagement activities and design technology choice assignments or tiered activities.

New Teacher Support - Assist new teachers in topics such as classroom management, classroom engagement, innovative teaching ideas, understanding and handling student behaviors, how to manage stress, mentor/mentee relationships, curriculum expectations, and network support.

STEM-Maker-Creator Material Checkout

We are excited that you are checking out our Maker/STEAM materials. Please use the "Materials List" button below to view our full list of available materials. We ask that items only be checked out for 2 weeks at a time. When you are ready to check out, please double check the "Materials Checkout Calendar" first to make sure the materials you wish to check out are not already spoken for on the dates you are requesting. If they are available please complete the "Check Out Form".  Your materials will then be added to our calendar and materials will be placed in the LISD interdistrict mail. Please be sure to check delivery dates for your building and plan your time with the materials accordingly.

REMC REMC

The Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1969. Its members are the 28 local Regional Educational Media Centers operated through the Intermediate School District structure.

Mission and Beliefs

The REMC Association of Michigan believes it must provide proactive leadership to the Michigan educational community in building a vision that supports quality teaching and learning, the effective use of educational technology, and provides equity to Michigan's pre-K-12 students.

The REMC Association of Michigan will accomplish this within the framework of the following principles:

  • Improve learning for all students.
  • Support constituents and improve teaching and learning statewide through future-focused collaboration, leadership, and service.
  • Empower teachers to create high-quality, engaging instructional environments when they have access to the necessary skills, tools, and rich sources of information.
  • Provide effective cost savings through statewide cooperative purchasing, which allows local resources to be reallocated to enhance teaching and learning.

REMC SAVE


What IS REMC SAVE?

REMC SAVE is a service of the REMC Association of Michigan for all public and private schools statewide and other public agencies. REMC SAVE contracts allow purchasing of a variety of products at highly competitive prices without the need to bid locally. REMC SAVE does the bidding, so you don't have to! REMC SAVE's process is compliant with the State of Michigan School Code requirements to bid on behalf of school districts. All contracts are awarded through a sealed bid process by the REMC Association of Michigan.
